Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in the US. Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress. Bassett was raised in New York New York and was raised by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett moved with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at the age of five to be near their mother, who was separated from their dad. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was in high school, and realised that she was an actor and wanted to do. When she graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut in the year 1980, she earned a Bachelor's Degree with a major in African American Studies, she went on to earn the Master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her main parts, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
